Rosanna Normanton UKCP, MBACP(Accred)
Psychotherapist & Intimacy Coordinator for the film & television industry
Psychotherapist | Intimacy Coordinator
I'm an accredited psychotherapist and intimacy coordinator, grounded in years of lived experience in the film and television industry. I'm passionate about the continuing evolution of industry, contributing to cast & crew wellbeing and supporting the creative process through intimate story-telling.

Therapeutic work:
I'm trained in integrative psychotherapy through the University of East London and systemic psychotherapy through the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust.
I've supported individuals, couples and families in a range of settings across the public sector managing different levels of distress, such as addiction, anxiety and depression as well as those living with mental health diagnoses such as schizophrenia, personality disorders and PTSD.

I'm accredited with the UKCP and BACP, trained in a range of additional disciplines and have a special interest in trauma and cross-cultural work.

Following the loss of film colleagues to suicide and the release of The Film & TV Charity's 'Looking Glass report' in 2019 (highlighting the extent of mental health needs in the creative industries), I have a personal and professional interest in strengthening working practices and the wellbeing of industry professionals. I work with a small caseload of private and funded clients, occasionally offering off set mental health consultation to productions. My work on set is focused primarily on intimacy coordination.
Intimacy Coordination:
Combining skills and experience in embodiment and movement practices, with intimacy coordination training, I work on set as an intimacy coordinator/choreographer. I am certified through IDC (SAG-AFTRA accredited) and a member of the BECTU IC registry. Please visit www.rosannanormanton.com for intimacy coordination services and more information.

Although intimacy coordination and psychotherapy are different skillsets, a therapeutic background is useful in supporting communication and interaction between cast members & crew, navigating dynamics, boundaries and consent, with a working knowledge of trauma and embodiment; all of which are integral to the IC role.
